Okay I know some people won’t agree but still. I am one of the biggest fans of KL Rahul but here’s a problem, he can’t score quickly against spin. In the IPL, yes he was given the anchor role but in T20 cricket you need boundaries in middle overs (1/n)

He was just taking a few singles+dot balls in the middle overs which resulted in a dip in the strike rate and put pressure on his partner as well. In the #AUSvIND ODI series as well, he got out to Zampa in the first ODI trying to rotate strike (2/n)

In the second ODI, Zampa came on and he played a big shot which went just over the boundary for a six. Next ball, he was dropped and third ball he was out slog sweeping. In the third ODI, there was no pressure of big shots (3/n)

But he wasn’t able to rotate strike which ended in playing a sweep shot he doesn’t play often and ended up getting out LBW. There is a problem here and it can cost his team matches due to the dot balls and no boundaries (4/n)

There is no one in the Indian team better than Rahul who can play big shots with ease against pacers especially bouncers. So just to conclude this, maybe the Indian team should rethink their order in ODIs keeping an eye on the scoreboard and not expose him against spin #AUSvIND
