As the doc in LTC, I was able to change to telehealth for the last 2 weeks. It's the nurses and CNA's who are truly risking their lives. Even when I round in person I don't have to touch since they do. But, due to the litigious nature of r culture and fear, no LTC nurses on 2/

For others to realize that those working in LTC and ALF now too on behalf of our elders are also and often more so taking the brunt of the death fatigue, grief, and trauma that even quality of life can't be helped due to quarantines and restrictions. 4/
The nurses/CNA's I work with are truly heroic and they act as family to their residents in LTC. Too many aren't allowed to speak out due to the political and fear based nature in the LTC setting but I very much want them to be recognized as the amazing heroes/humans they r. FIn
