#Reds fans shocked at the cuts, especially Casali & Bradley, need to face reality. The penny-pinching owners are calling the shots even more this offseason for obvious reasons. Doesn't mean you should lose hope, though. It's Dec. 2.
It's pretty clear what trade value Bradley and Casali had. *something something Brad Hand and Eddie Rosario getting cut with no takers*. #Reds could be slashing $ just to making Bob C's wallet feel better, but I kind of doubt that.
You don't spend all that $ last offseason, make nothing in gate in '20, and then do nothing to address at least the most obvious need (SS). Ownership & the FO know the window is now.
Fans should be back in a decent capacity by late summer. Not a very savvy $-making move by ownership to ensure empty seats and doing nothing. Stuff's gonna happen. And they opened up backup C for T. Stephenson, which is what Twitter wanted all this year up until mid-Sept.
I think the Reds feel very confident in their Driveline-driven brain trust to cook them up an above-replacement-level reliever or two. The $ saved today & from the Bob Steve trade could probably pay for Andrelton Simmons & maybe Semien.
