I dont think BIden should choose Republicans for his cabinet, and I'm going to tell you why.
Lets turn back time to early 2009.
You guys remember Judd Gregg?
Most of you probably don't. https://twitter.com/ChuckGrassley/status/1334236357963751425

Obama named GOP Senator Judd Cregg as commerce secretary in 2009. Obama had said in his campaign he wanted to work across the aisle. Having already retained republican Robert Gates as secretary of defense, this seemed like a good move https://www.mercurynews.com/2009/02/03/obama-names-republican-sen-judd-gregg-as-commerce-secretary/
This seemed encouraging, and at the time, I remember being slightly skeptical but overall glad to see it.
Something kind of strange happened next

It gets better too, here is some commentary on it from the news blog on 538.
I'd like to know which white house correspondent said that, and what they think of the last 4 years...

The News coverage of it was negative for Obama.
Look at the way this is framed as being embarrassing for Obama.
Obama reaches across the aisle and appoints him, then he withdraws and kneecaps the main policy proposal he was supposedly supportive of.

At the end of the day, I don't trust any of them. They have proven over and over again, they will undermine the democrats even if it means hurting their own constituents, because they can always still blame the democrats for it ultimately. Lets not play this game.
So what is Judd Gregg up to these days. I mean he was kind of a bi partisan guy right? https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/505924-judd-gregg-the-coming-biden-coup
Oh...
We're in a crtitical point of fihting a pandemic and trying to return to some form of normality after 4 years of full blown government chaos from the Trump administration.
TL:DR
We don't have time for the GOP and their rat fucking bullshit games.
