1/ Here is a doozy of a mix of conspiracy theories and COVID19 disinformation all wrapped in a Canadian bundle that is making the rounds on Facebook. Lets unpack it as it has some QAnon adjacent content, some Great Reset, some NESARA/GESARA, Agenda 2030

2/ So the poster of this is a member of "The Line" (an anti-lockdown movement) which is a mix bag of individuals as is represented in the post. The first part is the conspiracy about the WEF where COVID19 has been portrayed as the tool for the "Global Reset".

3/ The poster beleives that the Global Reset kills 750 millions people a year by "vaccine, famine, isolation, incarceration, real, natural and contrived calamity, and conflict, as per the UN's Agenda 2030." in 2019 58.39M people died globally not 750M

4/ Next the poster claims that "was invented and manufactured over a decade ago at Fort Detreich, which is notorious for being involved in MK Ultra." This conspiracy is almost a copypasta from May 2020 when the US and China were have a spat.

5/ Chinese state media claimed that the virus originated at Fort Detreich. These same stories from state media also used the link to MKULTRA to grasp the attention of a specific audience. That has now made its way across the border to Canada. (disinformation knows no borders)

6/ The addition from QAnon & QAnon adjacent groups to the state sponsored disinformation is that the COVID project at FD was so bad Obama ordered that it be shutdown, so Fauci, Gates et al. sent it to the Wuhan Virology Lab, where it was infused with AIDS, SARS and other viruses.

7/ The next one is about the 2015 Coronavirus Patents https://patents.justia.com/patent/10130701  This was something that was strongly pushed by QAnon influencer Jordan Sather as of January 21, was also in Plandemic, and was part of the Frontline Dr. fiasco. 8/ Part of this is patent conspiracy is that doctors and medical professionals are complicit or being paid by Soros, Gates, the Deep State, WEF, WHO, etc. to go forward with the plan to control the global population. This puts an unnecessary target on medical frontline workers

The recent announcement in Canada that the military will play a role in distributing the vaccine has revived this.

10/ A similar pattern was seen in US based conspiracy communities when President Trump had announced the same. I would expect any nation that will leverage the military to help with vaccine administration will see this narrative.

11/ Considering that medical staff are already strained with the pandemic, the military will need to play a role in the administering of vaccines. However, the conspiracy theories around this are of concern to me from a public safety perspective.

12/ Those already suspicious and hostile towards the government might see the vaccine distribution from the military as a reason to pick up arms and defend themselves. Consideringt he community overlap of antivaxxers/militias/conspiracy theorists in 2020 this is a possibility

13/ Especially is they believe that the vaccine will kill them, and if they refuse they will be put in internment camps already being built by the Canadian government.

14/ Side note, if the population has a low trust in the military, though they may not be vaccine skeptics or conspiracy theorists, they may still hesitate to get a vaccine from military personals. The roll out and messaging around this process will be very important.

15/ There are also elements from the Agenda 2030 conspiracy. which states that the countries who have signed onto Agenda 2030 "orfeiting their sovereignty to a succession of Institutions that are non-democratic and non-elected"

16/ Interestingly enough this conspiracy theorists states that by signing onto Agenda 2030, the elected officials of the 193 countries have an Oath to the Queen of England and the leaders of these countries seek to control you in the Monarchy's interest.

17/ Next you have multiple conspiracies' that are blended together whereby the "IMF, WB, BIS, UN, WHO, WTO & NATO" are controlled by the Rothschild's to advance with the Globalist Agenda. (this same conspiracy theory was around in the 80's/90's)

18/ All these organizations follow the lead of the UN, which is Satanic and collaborates with the Whore of Babylon and the Vatican and Pope and others. (see QAnon global satanic elites and cc. satanic panic)

19/ The Global Reset conspiracy from the WEF/COVID19/QAnon have breathed new life into NESARA/GESARA conspiracy theories. NESARA/GESARA is an example of how conspiracy theories are cyclical.

20/ The fear of banks and the Federal Reserve is an old fear. It also feeds into fears about the collapse of the value of money, and the trope that “Taxation is Theft” – the belief that any type of control or tax of the government is unjust.

21/ NESARA is simply a narrative that links the value of money to something tangible, and to reassure people that while banks have been evil and dishonest, things will be fine once they can be forced to give the people their money back.

22/ GESARA: is the global version of the American NESARA. The same narrative can be used all around the globe, not just in the US.

23/ With the economic crisis around COVID causing global anxieties, to some GESARA theory emphasizes the release of secret patents for treatments that will cure the virus and heal the world, bringing an end to the economic uncertainty. For this poster GESARA is part of the Reset

24/ What this post shows is how multiple conspiracy theories from 2020 are malleable enough not only to cross borders, but also to fit with one another to create a master narrative that can in this case create fear, but in other cases can offer solace to a believer.

25/ The challenge with this is that you have a blend of elements that relate to public safety, societal resilience, and public health mixed in one. Each of these elements are usually dealt with by institutions with a single of the expertise required.

26/ To find solutions to the ever evolving challenge here, there is a need to break down silos as multiple expertise will be needed all at once. This will require multi disciplinary and multisectoral collaboration as not one expert has the necessary expertise.

27/ What needs to be avoided is taking a single minded approach to COVID/Disinformation/Extremism as presently they are blending into one another. I have seen some orgs already approach this from a multidisciplinary and multisectoral approach but I would like to see more.
