JK Rowling is partly responsible for this ban on blockers for trans kids in the UK. Her rhetoric moved the needle just enough with the essay and threads; a form of stochastic transphobia. And she succeeded! Did she ever. Got lots of people on board. She’s a monster.

It’s not the people’s indifference to children that is the problem. They genuinely believe they’re protecting them. The problem is the people’s indifference to science and facts and statistics that clearly and soberly point to the path that saves trans kids lives: affirming them.
