If you're a grown-ass adult in the united states of america and you don't understand at this point that the foundation and constituency of this country from top to bottom is literally comprised of white supremacist colonialism, it's likely because you don't want to understand it.
…Because understanding it means this society isn't purely based on merit, but on deep systemic prejudices & bigotry. And understanding THAT means you have to DO something about it. And you're scared of what that means. And that's fine.
