I can't believe I spent 115 hours on Valhalla. I'll go to bed soon but let me quickly sum up my thoughts
Assassin's Creed is dead. It's a corpse left rotten in an open field
The core elements that made AC what it was (parkour and stealth) are gone and the story was SO rushed

The first 20 hours were fine. I wasn't blown away but it's not like I hated what I was playing
I expected the story to pick up soon; the gameplay to get better as I acquired more skills; the assaults to get more and more epic
Yet none of that happened

- Story
The main story - while I found it to be solid - suffers from questionable pacing and doesn't feel cohesive. While I very much enjoyed the alliance quests, they easily turn you away from the main plot of Valhalla

Here are some of the worst moments I've had with the story
**SPOILERS**
1) Sigurd, your brother gets kidnapped. You're now given two choices: rescue him immediately OR gather more allies for the upcoming fight
I picked the latter

I picked the latter
It takes me ages to but I finally have a massive army behind my back. It's now been months from when Sigurd was first kidnapped, or so I gathered from the in-game conversations
We get there and...the missions goes on like nothing happened. Like those months didn't exist

You rescue your brother. He doesn't mention the fact you took your time to save him. Nobody complains. Nothing.
2) The last mission
That's it. This is the end. You go to the final region of England, expecting some grand fight will all your allies ripping and tearing
And...yeah, that doesn't happen. You do get a fight but it's far from being epic. My reaction was: "...that's it? Really?"

**END OF SPOILERS**
- Gameplay. As I mentioned, the core mechanics suck. Stealth is simplistic. Social stealth (ex. blending in with the crowd) is useless. I only used it twice throughout the game
TWICE
In a 100+ hours' game
Might as well not have put it in the game

Surprise, surprise, parkour also sucks!
My character would constantly climb stuff I didn't want her to climb;
Leaps of faith are the worst they've ever been. Get on top of that building, guess where the hay is and hope it's actually there;
Sprinting feels weird somehow

Other features are also more useless than a legless athlete
Jomsviking
Nobody uses it. If your viking *actually* did something other than just participating in raids, maybe it could've been better
Make them talk. Have a personality. Have them appear in the main/side quests

The longship
What's the longship for, exactly? Moving from point A to point B? That's it?
No naval battles?
No ships to attack to get resources for your settlement?
I only used it for raids. Wow. How cool.

THE POSITIVES YEEE
The alliance quests are great. I enjoyed them and it's mostly thanks to the writing. Every character - whether they be important or unimportant - was memorable
They take up too much time that could've been used for the "real" story but hey, they're nice

Eivor as a character is fantastic. He/she's even better than Bayek
He/she's charismatic, dynamic in terms of personality and is a badass. Real badass

Quickly going through a couple of more positive things about Valhalla cuz I'm tired
