There is perennial controversy over BAP, who he "really is" & what his true intentions are. Those of us who consider him a friend & ally know very well why we support him & find these criticisms & allegations to be meaningless & disingenuous slander. But I'll try to spell it out
Most of us who find BAP either through his podcast or his book have been in the political wilderness for quite some time. We left the mainstream long ago. BAP's ideas and his ethos are not something that one arrives at in just two simple steps from normie world. It's a journey
What we sense in BAP is a profound, well-considered, internally consistent worldview that has obviously developed over a long time. You don't have to agree with everything about it to respect and admire it, since so few ever develop their own thoughts to this degree
If you've spent time on the fringes of modern and ancient thought, you immediately recognize a fellow traveler, or rather fellow searcher, someone who isn't satisfied with buying into prefab ideologies or movements, but who has sought principles and how to apply them
It would be very difficult to fake something like this.

One can fake being an ideologue by simply learning the ideology and parroting it, and one can fake religious belief in the same way.
But to fake being an original thinker, to develop a deep and original way of thought and life only for the purpose of dissembling and dissimulating, borders on the absurd
BAP's persona is larger than life, and petty people are wont to try to tear down anything larger than their own small lives.

But though a persona is a mask, something of the character behind the mask always shows through
We know something of BAP's character from how he interacts with people (often generously and magnanimously), from how he expresses himself, and from how his mind creates his unique ideas and views. This tells us "who he is" better than any attempted dox or fanciful conjecture
Our loyalty is not that followers or disciples but of friends. If this confounds the understanding, too bad for the confused
