I would like to kill one and for all the narrative that #Bernie Sanders was strong in the Rio Grande Valley and that's why Biden lost ground there.

Here are the Clinton-Trump counties in South Texas. What do you see? (thread)
Of the Eight counties that went Clinton-Trump in South Texas, Biden won 4 in the primary, Sanders won 3 and Bloomberg won 1.

Sanders did not get >30% in ANY of them.

The largest, Jim Wells County, Biden beat Sanders by 12.

Bloomberg's strength in South Texas was the clue.
The largest county in the Rio Grande Valley is Hildalgo (McAllen), which swung heavily to Trump.

It was Bernie 28%, Biden 27%, Bloomberg 26% in the primary.
Why Bloomberg did so well in South Texas is something progressives need to look into. What was his outreach here like, what messages stuck to these voters.

We know why 30-35% voted for Sanders, but why did ~25% vote for Bloomberg?!?!
