1/3 This has me thinking of a possibly crazy scheduling philosophy for G5 teams. What if G5 team’s scheduled 3 OFC games at the beginning of the year (play an FCS , Other G5, and P5 if you can get it.) Then you play conference weeks 4-11 leaving week 12 open. https://twitter.com/redditcfb/status/1334265756549140482
2/3 Then G5 teams schedule games based on rankings. That way G5 teams can get a SOS boost. Like Cincy vs Coastal or BYU. This would also work if there was ever an 8 team playoff as the best G5 would be decided on field.
3/3 I also do realize a conference title result game could throw all this off and there are tons of other logistical, TV, and issues to consider, but I like my idea. 😅 Thoughts? @EricCHenry_ @CoolCyWrites @ChrisVannini
