How to use Amazon for primo market research

A thread...
1. Go to Amazon and find your product.

Read a few reviews - Avoid 1-star reviews, these are from Karens who hate everything. 2-4 star reviews are great.

Make a list of keywords that stand out in the reviews.

Amazon also does this for you - see below.
Click "See all reviews."

In the search bar, type in relevant keywords and deep dive into the reviews.

This tells you everything you need in terms of features vs. benefits.

People usually say "I love/hate [keyword] because [benefit/lack thereof]." This is a literal gold mine.
Take notes, there are patterns and similar behaviors present, find them.

Amazon customers tell you why they love/hate a product and what they would change about it.

Now you know what to address in your ad/product copy & if you can improve on it, you're streets ahead.
Open a word doc, make 2 columns - Features & Benefits.

Once you read enough reviews, you will know whats important to your customer & what pain points to target.

Write all features and match them to benefits - It doesn't have to be 1:1. Many features can match to one benefit.
Go for a walk, let your mind wander.

Come back, write down everything about your market, how you can solve their problems, and then become a millionaire.
