I'm genuinely stumped at what this coalition is asking for. More people in jail? More money to clean up graffiti (city has already given $100k) or broken windows? More homeless sweeps? All I know is there's no mention in their letter of what feels like the most critical economic issues right now: Low-income workers facing mass evictions and/or layoffs without any govt support.

To be clear: Having your businesses' windows smashed and graffitied is awful! So is a massive drop in business due to a pandemic! So is being forced to lay people off! It's all very bad. I understand the problem, just not the request.
