I'm seeing a lots of confusion (even from reputable science journalists) about the updated @CDCgov quarantine guidance today ( https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/scientific-brief-options-to-reduce-quarantine.html)
To be clear: this is about QUARANTINE (if you're exposed) not isolation (if you test positive).

CDC still recommends a 14d quarantine.
Neither of the 2 options to reduce quarantine are as effective as quarantining for the full 14d. But, we fully recognize the burden quarantine places on many people - so these options may strike a better balance.
