Today you can make a commitment to reading up on disability justice for #IDPWD. I'm going to share lots of resources below, written by disabled people. So much love and energy is poured into theses resources!
Disability justice continues to grow from the work of groups like @sinsinvalid - a disability justice performance project that centres people of colour, queers, nonbinary and trans people with disabilities.

Disability justice is a political framework that is firmly anti-capitalist. Read this wonderful essay by Marta Russell, who was a disabled historian and thinker. It explores the exploitation of disabled bodies under capitalism

Disability justice is grounded in abolitionist thought. It's committed to reimagining different ways of caring for & keeping each other accountable that aren't based in carceral logics!

@AbolitionDJ have some wonderful resources on cripping abolition: https://abolitionanddisabilityjustice.com/
Speaking of abolition, Liat Ben-Moshe has written a fantastic book called Decarcerating Disability. It's a phenomenal read, and shows that abolition is possible - disabled people have done it before when fighting against institutionalisation.

Disability is INTRINSICALLY linked to race. Think about eugenics, incarceration & how disabling colonisation is!

There are many amazing disabled Blackfullas speaking up. Listen to Jane Rosengrave, a Yorta Yorta woman with an intellectual disability: http://www.thewag.com.au/event/presentation-forum-free-bird-disability-indigenous-institutional-abuse
There are strong Black disabled voices across the oceans you need to listen to as well. Here Leroy Moore, founder of @kriphopnation, talks about Disability Rights in Black 2020. Leroy's work is firmly rooted in a disability justice framework! https://www.ndrn.org/resource/drib2020-leroy-moore/
Here is a list of lots of different disability justice readings from @KrysMendez88: https://krysmendez.com/
