I’m so happy that the Stranded Dizzy skin I worked on is finally out, hands down one of the most lore packed skins to date. The amount of detailed the character team was able to pack into this model is just incredible!
The skin design pitch was heavily influenced by his description in the novel Coalitions End, I reread all the chapters that featured him multiple times to make sure all the key visual elements were present when I pitched the skin design.
The two biggest pieces of added detail would be the Operation Lifeboat leaflet that he picks up that gives him the idea to join the COG to save his daughter Maralin when she was sick and the golden hair brush he bought for his late wife Rosalyn after his twin daughters were born.
Some other noticeable details that were taken from his novel description were the heavy wrench he always carries with him as protection from hostile Stranded and a moonshine jug so he could trade the moonshine he distilled for supplies for his family.
Some minor but still neat details to note:
- Beard is a bit longer and more unkept
- Cloths are tattered and ragged to really show off how the Stranded lived after the Hammer Strikes
- Wears strapped on busted up old COG armor that he salvaged
