Freya regularly needs this simple procedure called âsuction.â It keeps her airways clear.
Not having this treatment could be extremely dangerous to her health.
BUT because it produces tiny airborne particles, it could potentially increase the spread of Coronavirus.

Thousands of children like Freya need this kind of procedure. It's essential.
Many of them feel forgotten - they also canât go to school.
In a nutshell, it's all down to whether or not schools had enough space to comply with Government guidelines.

Freyaâs mum, Carrie, feels her daughter has been badly let down.
As well as suction, Freya also gets physiotherapy, and other important treatments to reduce pain, when she's at school. All of that now has to happen at home...

This story is impacting the whole family, who live on Merseyside.
Freyaâs brother William is autistic & has chosen not to go back to school to protect his Mum & sis.
He last went 9 months ago. Heâs due to sit his GCSEs next year & has recently missed sitting mock exams.

Guidelines around the kinds of suction Freya needs have recently been relaxed and the Government has written to reassure parents that education for disabled children is a top priority. https://bit.ly/33BE8m5
But Carrie has no idea when Freya can go back.
