So many of the responses are still from people who think the direct purpose of activism is practical politics.
So - we had a paradigm, as outlined in the top tweet. Social media broke it.

What might be more useful is thinking about what a new effective paradigm might be, in which the purposes of activism and politicking are both met without destroying each other.
