If you're getting into streaming (or vtubing, specifically) - I think it's important to think about what you want out of it, and what you're personally willing to put in (time, effort, and capital wise) to better achieve your goals. With that said, you really don't need to
have *everything* set up and ready (emotes, overlays, graphics, vtuber model, animations) especially if you're just doing this for fun and testing the waters. I've seen a lot of people commit hundreds (and for vtubers, thousands) of dollars and end up realizing it's not for them.
While I think production, and value in general to the viewers is important, you can provide value in other ways that doesn't necessarily have to cost you a lot of capital. It's not fun seeing someone get frustrated after investing a lot and then quickly burnout as a result.
I say this to a lot of my friends: it's good to be ambitious, but also important to be realistic and reassess everything to better align with your goals. Extra note, streaming looks easy when you're watching people at the top but it's almost certainly not as easy as it seems.
