Thread: How incredibly different the Bills LB situation looks now compared to a month ago. Matt Milano went on IR. Tyrel Dodson was already there. Then Del’Shawn Phillips, too. Tremaine Edmunds was still banged up and not playing that well. AJ Klein looked overmatched....

The team got through their 3 games (Seahawks, Cardinals, Chargers) without Milano 2-1, only losing on a Hail Mary. Edmunds got healthier and it has clearly showed in his play. And AJ Klein has been one of the best LBs in the league over the last few weeks....

The entire defense was improving slowly and has been markedly better over the last five games vs their first six. And now it looks like they’ll insert Milano (one of their best overall players) back into this group, as well as a valuable and athletic backup in Dodson...

I know people want to see Klein stay on the field, but that will be tough. The Bills play a lot of nickel defense, only using two LBs. They could play a little more base defense in matchup situations with all 3 (Milano, Edmunds, Klein) on the field, but probably not much...

At the very least, it just adds so much more depth and also allows them to give Milano a breather once in a while if they feel the need if/when he does return to game action after missing a while.

What a difference a month makes.
