1/ A thread about #yyccc campaigning during covid. I’ve had many questions about door knocking. Here’s where my head is at right now: your home is a safe place, I don’t know who is behind a door, maybe you are immunocompromised. But also of late, maybe you don’t believe in masks.
2/ Putting myself or volunteers in a position where we could either make someone feel uncomfortable or risk our health seems reckless during a time where I believe that taking care of each other should be our number one priority and that means minimizing contact.
3/ Outdoor spaces provide comfort so look for the team out and about at dog parks, along the pathways, at fire pits. This allows you to approach if you’re comfortable. Every conversation matters but not as much as your safety.
4/ I’m planning more online meet and greets, happy to talk one on one, and look forward to the day when I can come to your door safely. Until then hi! from online.
