Cuban outfielder Oscar Colas is free of his Japanese contract according to @JesseSanchezMLB. Once MLB declares his free agency, he should be able to sign on January 15. The #WhiteSox could be a club to watch in this pursuit.
The #WhiteSox have some signings for the period starting on 1/15 and the organization should have somewhere around $2.3 million to spend still. With rumored interest in OF Yoelqui Cespedes as well, prioritizing will be a key here.
It's unlikely that the #WhiteSox could land Cespedes and Colas with their remaining funds. It's also unlikely that either player would wait until the following signing period which opens on 1/15/2022. It's likely one or the other for the Pale Hose in this pursuit.
