For the first time this year, we actually saw Democrats as a whole put together some comprehensive criminal justice reform legislation, was it perfect? Nope. But was it the first time they tried in like a while? YES. And that's due to activists
Everyone has a role to play in this work. And politicians should continue to use the opportunity of the Overton window shifting (as the academics say) thanks in part to activists to see what kind of envelope they can push on policy/legislation.
But publicly lecturing the very folks who mobilized a lot of people for your electoral wins (and I don't mean just Obama) isn't it either...
