Been working on the 500 acre prairie at Big Bull Creek for a few years now. Yesterday one of the guys that’s spent hundreds of hours working on it said “I see your vision now”
It started as bean fields and hedgerows. This guy has been in skidsteers and tractors working on the project for three years.
The mosaic of different parcels reverting to prairie is finally apparent. You can walk a solid mile in restored tallgrass prairie at this point.
Taking a dream/vision and getting to make it actually happen at a landscape level is awesome. If we could just get our prairie corridor wildlife bridge over I-35 now...
