In fairness I hadn't seen this. It's less of a correlation though more of an absence of teams in the top left.

What this shows is not a correlation but more of an effect of absence. Crossing more does not mean you'll create more but in order to create more you do need to be able to cross.
Bad news is that this is the same for all facets of attack, & we're limited to only 1 now.

Emery & Arteta by removing the longball, passing through, and high-pressing elements to our game leaving only crossing have weakened our attack by 4x. This is reflected in our shot stats.
