“You know, it really does go to the issue of dignity, how you treat people, I think they just feel forgotten. I think we forgot them.”

Good answer on rural voters, but I hope Biden realizes lots of people in NYC, DC, & Bridgeport feel same way. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/02/opinion/biden-interview-mcconnell-china-iran.html
You don't have to get out of Acela corridor to find "forgotten Americans." Just get off the Acela. Like in Baltimore

Many of them are seen by Dems as already their voters, so they don't feel an urgency to do anything. But they do, for both moral & political reasons.
If Biden's plan for Rural America is what Center left been doing for/to lower income urban America (empty slogans coupled with empowerment zones & incentives to go into debt to play resume game), than I not sure Rural America wants that

Because it hasn't worked for urban America
What I try to show in Dignity is what rural back-row wants/lacks is same as urban back-row

I worry Dems believe they are already addressing & focused on urban back-row.

But they aren't. Dems policy is focused squarely on the urban front-row
Dems to Rural america: We gonna do for you what we have done for our voters!

Rural America: (Looks around Gary Indiana, Detroit, Cleveland) Uh... We good. Thanks

PS: Dems need to do something different for both Gary & Rural America, who ultimately want same thing: Real Dignity
