The dramatic health gap for people with SMI the new @PHE_uk data have revealed worried us but made us think of all the evidence-based things that are being done/can be done too. We won't stop 'til this inequality wound is healed. This thread contains examples of actual hope:

A wealth of brilliant resources and blogs regarding the protection and improvement of the physical health of people with SMI can be found on their website: https://equallywell.co.uk/resources/
3) The fascinating, inspiring and impactful work of the amazing @Hospital_Rooms . Inspired by them, @MattLiveMore & his team created better gyms on their psychiatric intensive care and they saw physical activity going up 50% since the improvement! https://twitter.com/MattLiveMore/status/1312296921164374020

10) This is by no means an exhaustive list; it gives an indication of the things being done. We also hope it sparks new collaborations to close this dramatic health gap. Together we can.
