So @Mermaids_Gender are getting their knickers in a twist over GIDS not being allowed to prescribe puberty blockers any more.

Yet they say nobody is "born in the wrong body".
Instead of getting upset that children can no longer change their bodies they should be:
a) emphatically telling all children their bodies are fine, there bodies will be just fine in the future, and that no child or adult needs to change their body.
b) offering to raise funds for children and young people to have therapy to explore alternatives to transition.
c) emphasising the extremely low risk of suicide to parents and young people and assuring them that transitioning (social or medical) has not been shown to lower the risk of suicide.
d) helping to develop new guidelines for psychologists treating children with gender dysphoria https://thepsychologist.bps.org.uk/volume-33/october-2020/freedom-expression-around-diversity-guidelines

(by the way the existing BPS guidelines DO refer to children).
e) helping parents to obtain assessments for ASD where they have not yet done so, given the over-representation of children with ASD in the population of children with gender dysphoria.
f) raising funds to research the actual effects of social transition, with proper trials.
g) creating a database of adult mentors for gender dysphoric children who were GNC and are now happy in their sexed bodies.
h) funding therapy for detransitioners.
Have I forgotten anything?
