You voted for a man who mocked people with disabilities, bragged about sexual assault, wouldn't disavow white nationalist violence, and lied every day of his presidency - and you voted for him again (at least Raffensperger said he did). It sucks when he turns on you, doesn't it?
TO BE CLEAR, I am not saying that anything Trump is doing is okay - because it most decidedly is not - but I wish people in the @GOP would have outrage for things before it directly affects them.
And for the rest of the @GOP watching this go down - do not imagine YOU will be spared. You won’t. Narcissists ALWAYS turn on people. As soon as you are no longer useful, they will throw you away (best case scenario) or seek revenge for violating their world view.
You co-signed his behavior when it benefited you, looked the other way when it impacted others (immigrants, reporters, protesters). You had a chance to take away his power but decided the wins were worth the collateral damage. A wrecking ball is not a surgical tool. Now you know.
