We launched our Digital Skills Afternoon for KS3, run completely on @MicrosoftTeams, with the aim of consolidating the skills imperative to accessing the daily learning taking place, and to take part in a project of their choice to further expand their portfolio of skills
Our first session was a group activity, where students completed a Form to access their own baseline knowledge. They then had 30mins as a form class to access the tutorials they needed to do to upskill themselves to help themselves and others in their Form Class....
@OneNoteEDU
This was to take part in the Year Group Digital Championships, run on @quizizz, the entire Form Class (home and class learners) shouted out the answers to the questions to compete for their (digital) crowns!
Yes, they raised the roof 👐
Who says online learning is always quiet?
Our second session was run ENTIRELY by our Student Digital Leadership Team, who created on demand and live workshops to teach KS3 their chosen skill.
The only thing us teachers needed to do was advise on flow and set up their @MicrosoftTeams meetings. Proud teacher moment!
For a Yr8 student to have 96 in their workshop, all working away and submitting their work.... and this was only 1 of 6 workshops!
Our Student Digital Leaders opened KS3's eyes to how quickly they can learn a new skill. A powerful moment for all.
