putting together this go-go sample playlist, i really have gained an appreciation for some of these interpolations on a much deeper level. it sometimes feels like the mash up productions styles of early 90s hip-hop
like, in this one joint you got Field Mob and Lady Saw mashed up like they were written in the same genre. This is literally a diaspora marriage.
I would’ve never in my life given a fuck about this Wyclef song lol. But this shit got livened up and then they dropped a Rose Royce bridge on it like it was just meant to happen.
