I have had a lot of practice

Yes, English is my 2nd language
2/ My career as an apologist started as a medical student when I apologised for my presence in med school as a female. I was occupying a place that would have been better served by a man. As our dean reminded us on Day 1 that as women, we would not be fully committed to medicine.
3/ I apologised for taking maternity leave, thus proving the dean right. I was not 100% committed to medicine, was I?
Perversely, I also apologised for wanting to have a full-time career whilst being a mum. Surely, I should be home putting the kids to bed. Not on the birth unit!
4/ Being a glutton for punishment, I took on leadership of a maternity unit facing an uncertain future.
Yes, I have apologised for daring to be a migrant woman of colour wanting to lead. I couldn’t possibly have the skills or the knowledge for this job! I am that* Problem WoC.
Fin/ Covid happened

I spoke up about issues that made me feel unsafe, at multiple times, via multiple channels

Yes, readers, I have apologised

It is an exemplary apology with poor grammar

I apologise very well
