NOT A FAN: someone is given an opportunity and invested in by a church / university / denom. / org

B/c of investment in them, they grow a platform there.

Then, they leave and spend years complaining about how awful the institution was that gave them the platform they now have.

*obviously, talking about normal situations, not egregious outliers.

In those situations, have the self-awareness and humility to acknowledge, "The people who are listening to me complain wouldn't know who I was if it weren't for [org I'm publicly attacking]"

It's not hard (and I believe the Lord will honor it) to say to oneself, "Could they have been better? Yes. But I'm so grateful for what they did for me, and I'm not the person to complain about them."

Again, talking normal circumstances, not heinous outliers
