Trump’s lawyers have a valid case in WI. They note that many of the absentee ballots cast were in violation of the law because addresses were not filled in by voters, written requests were not made by the voter, or people who were not “indefinitely confined” claimed to be so.
The problem for the courts is - even if they accept the argument of the President’s lawyers - what is the remedy?

First, I believe that a court would not limit action to just two of the 72 counties.
Second, how does a jurist determine which ballots to throw out? Once an absentee ballot is taken out of the envelope and put through the machine, there is no way to trace it. A random selection could actually end up pulling ballots that were legally cast in-person on Election Day
No matter what happens in WI & around the country, the one clear thing is that state lawmakers have to take action to restore integrity to the voting process. As Governor, I signed a requirement for a photo ID to vote. Still, that is not enough. They must do more in the future.
