Clip thread - Cleveland #Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars Week 12
Very good coverage by Johnson, just a great catch by Shenault. The tackling is a different story.
Good run-blocking rep from Wills
Karl Joseph always seems to make plays when he's actually in the box
@All22ChalkTalk highlighted Sendejo on this play. Nice coverage from everyone really.
Clayborn straight up bullying Cam Robinson
Peoples-Jones is an excellent return blocker
11 hard bites on the play fake
A screen!
Appreciated Dedes mentioning that Carlson is "slowly becoming more involved in the offense" as this was his first target on the year.
More Wills run blocking
Beautiful backshoulder throw
Alternate angle
Malveaux and Goodson unable to close the gap left by Elliott
Good coverage from Goodson, Smith, and Joseph
Excellent passoff between Wills and Bitonio
Throw is there, but Taylor just drops it
Hunt picks up two guys in pass protection, letting Mayfield extend the play and make a perfect throw to Hodge on third down
The poor safety
Ideally you'd want this placed to allow Landry more YAC opportunity, but there's nothing wrong with this throw. Just because it could be a little better doesn't mean it isn't great.
DB doesn't bite on the double-move, Landry isn't open. Don't throw this.
Watching this live I thought maybe he was aiming for Higgins, but it's just a bullet to Hodge. Doesn't need to be that high.
So, a few things on this play:

It's catchable on Higgins' beat as @PFF_Mike mentioned.

Mayfield needs to read this quicker and know Higgins is free.

He presses and throws with his hips open, trying to thread between the DL.

A step to the right and this is a TD...
but he doesn't know he has that time because he never looked right. If he had, he'd also have seen Hunt uncovered. Lots of things happening at once, much more than just a high throw.
This is another TD, just misses high.
Mitchell gives up on this play
Fantastic throw. Just perfect. Everything like clockwork on this play. Mechanics are great, timing off the fake, fantastic stuff.
Just a bit high and long
More perfect placement
There's his open TD
Clayborn again beating Robinson
Vernon clearly held
Clayborn almost gets the stripsack
Great throw, shame Bryant fumbled.
Joseph draped all over the TE, but the throw+catch is too good
Wants to make the throw to Higgins but thinks better of it. Very good.
Absolute dart. Maybe want this thrown a bit earlier.
Playcall is...different. Throw is absolutely perfect.
Fantastic play
Never checks for the safety and is lucky he wasn't going for the ball. Can't make this throw.
Wilson's got to make this tackle
This one should have been picked
Well-placed ball, Harrison gets it broken up
Option look forces the defense to hesitate for just a second, long enough for Chubb to get past Schobert.
Maybe you don't want him making this throw in this situation. But he's a gunslinger, and guess what? You can live with these aggressive decisions as long as he isn't misreading coverages. And he is one of only a few QBs in the league who can make this throw.
Alternate angle. Still can't tell if the DB is able to touch the ball, but he's in full extension. Crazy throw.
Another dart that lets Landry pivot backwards
Nick Chubb. Good football player.
Playcall works perfectly, just a horrible throw.
Not a difficult throw. No excuse.
Good coverage and timing from Wilson
Clayborn gets held
Olivier Vernon. Another good football player.
Vernon's spin move is better than Garrett's.
So Vernon does launch himself at Glennon. Don't think he meant to go helmet-to-helmet, but the rule is the rule.
Great play by Bitonio to get this block. Game ended on this play.
Bonus: Njoku pancaking his man out of bounds
