i think a lot of people think of millionaire and billionaire interchangeably but you can have like $3-4m from being like a good lawyer or doctor or owning fast food franchises and stuff, those people are way closer to someone making $50k than a billionaire mathematically
like it can make sense to aspire to be a millionaire! that's a lot of money! but having one thousand millions? you can get that without abstract systemic-level horrorshow exploitation
*can't. anyway i feel like some people hear "billionaires are immoral" as "it's wrong to want a good life" but that's not... what it's about
im not saying being a multimillionaire is good either or defending anything in particular just.... there are differences in scale here
i can see there are a lot of people made very angry by this observation and im not saying "solidarity with millionaires" just trying to contextualize why "billionaire" is kind of a class unto itself
