Just dialed into my first ever SF Supervisor board meeting.

They've spent the past 15 minutes allowing people to comment on the environmental review of a *single house*.

Yes, this is what our leadership is spending time on.

A single house.
Comment after comment about how rich people are building big grey houses, don't pay taxes, don't have kids in local schools, and don't engage in the community.

This is why we don't have enough housing in SF.

The entire board has to listen to this. Wow.
I reached out to a Legislative Assistant of one of the Supervisors. He says this happens most weeks.
Apparently, it's now ending. (Almost two hours later.)

A few people texted me that they dialed in. They said it was "insane", and "entertaining in a sick and sad way."

SF, it's time for a reboot...
Okay, I'm catching the end.

@RafaelMandelman is making a closing speech about the cottage in the back and the roof and parking spaces... Requesting changes.

Okay, the supes just voted unanimously that the house can be renovated.

Two hours of debate over the renovation of a house.
