For the millionth time: puberty blockers, if anything, allow trans children to delay irreversible developmental and medical changes until they are 18. Do you know what happens if someone takes puberty blockers & decides they would rather develop as their assigned at birth gender?
THEY STOP TAKING THE BLOCKERS AND THEN START PUBERTY A LITTLE LATER
Puberty blockers literally reduce the number of actual surgeries trans people would end up having later in life, that's it.
By literally every standard except bigotry, allowing trans or questioning children this treatment will save lives and actually REDUCE THE USE OF MEDICAL SERVICES because free, trans men without breasts... 100% don't need mastectomies.
And yes many of us would not have surgery either way but for fuck's sake let some of our youth at least get the option to develop the way they need to.
Guess what, all kinds of medical decisions are made when kids are under 18/16. I got my tonsils yanked when I was 8 years old.
I know bigots make ZERO fucking she's but the TERF opposition to puberty blockers is EXACTLY opposed to their hand-wringing about a) surgeries and b) children making irreversible decisions before adulthood.
THE DEFAULT IS STILL A FUCKING CHOICE
