Thankful to be interviewed for this new piece by @BrandyZadrozny about the recent culling of anti-vax groups on FB.

This is a huge step, but the damage may already have been done. Vaccine hesitant people are still here. https://twitter.com/BrandyZadrozny/status/1333507301647536135
While certainly, some people will migrate to other platforms, I think only a few will give up Facebook altogether.

FB is still the platform people have invested in. Their friends, family, photos, connections are there.
And as Neil Johnson said, the covid pandemic and vaccine have created intersections between previously unconnected communities.

Just like QAnon/alt-right/and antivax groups have intersections, antivax groups also intersect w/yoga groups, parent groups, foodies, etc.
These hard core antivax groups on FB are just one area where vaccine hesitancy grows, but there is still so much more.

Not all the groups were taken down, and I'm certain more will arise on FB & other people will try to rebuild on other platforms.
All of this is critical because of the upcoming COVID vaccine. @pewresearch's recent survey shows that since May, there has been a drop in % of people who would be willing to take a covid vaccine today.
