Christian faith is so fragile, that when I call out harm or boldly state the truth, people think I’m canceling it.
Asking for accountability isn’t canceling. Asking for safety for future Christians isn’t canceling.

I shouldn’t have to call out these things as harmful: total depravity, shame, purity culture, white saviorism...
But I do. Ignoring problems and just trying to be “nice” moving forward does not break the cycle. These things are not okay. They must stop.

I say this full well knowing I deeply believed these things were okay and I perpetuated harm in doing so. I now know better, and I can do better. I am going to keep learning from and listening to people that are different than me. I value love and humanity over toxic religion.
