How to get everything you want, via negativa

We all desire something:
- Money
- Sex
- Power
- Status

Being on this side of Twitter, you've learned that to get the things you want, you have to build skills and knowledge

But this shit ain't working

Time for a thread 👇👇👇
Here you are again... building skills and knowledge.

You've worked through many cycles.

But of instead of profound change, you only get incremental improvement.

So you dig deeper, refine it, and continue to add.

But still, no huge change in results.

Why is that?
You've heard of this: The Myers Briggs test - https://www.16personalities.com/

Take it again.

It's free and you don't need to put in your email at the end.

Got your results?

Good.

Write down your 4 letters and set them aside.
Time for an example:

Let's say you desire to be rich.

Wait, not just rich... WEALTHY.

Wealth that can span generations with massive influence and power.

Freedom to do what you want, when you want.

So much abundance you can provide the same for your friends and family.
So you've taken different courses, watched dozens of YouTube videos, implemented different "how to's", followed all your favorite gurus' advice...

and you're FINALLY beginning to notice this fact...
YOU WON'T GET WHAT YOU WANT JUST BY ADDING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO YOUR REPERTOIRE.

Not by learning Facebook ads, cold email, sales, drop-shipping, ecomm, or whatever's hot.

Here's your answer: Reduction.

Reduction of what?
Take a look at your test results.

The reason you are where you are today is because of the biases and preferences you've built up all your life.

They compound.

These biases and preferences become your limiting beliefs.

They limit you to what you're comfortable doing.
Understand this:

You cannot expect profound change without changing profoundly.
You've become married to these beliefs.

Take each of your letters and reflect on the opposite.

Prove me wrong:

If you were less like your preferences, you would take a massive leap toward your goal.

Really.

Think about it.

For example, let's look at an INTJ...
If you're introverted, you're avoiding that phone call - pick up that phone and start dialing.

How big of a difference would that make?

If you're Intuitive (N), give yourself some rules and structure - maybe set an alarm clock and schedule out your day.

Scary. I know.
If you're a thinker (T), lean less on logic - meditate and take time to understand your emotions.

No it's not a waste of time.

If you're (J) slow down, there may be better options you're overlooking.
"But I'm supposed to leverage my strengths"
"I am where I am today because of who I am"
"I'm proud of who I am, I don't want to change"

And to these objections I say: "This is EXACTLY why you're spinning your wheels"
If you're so happy with where you are, then why are you striving so hard?

Because you've got unfulfilled desires. Your identity is stopping you from achieving them.

To get what you want, you have to be willing to change.

You have to become the person that deserves it.
So REDUCTION:
- Less tactics
- Fewer processes
- And no more how-to's

These are all distractions.

You also have to become less of what you BELIEVE you are.

You are not what you score on a stupid test.

And I know you can agree with me on that.
End of thread.
