Hello and good day! It's *that* time of year, and the @angusreidorg's quarterly canvass of how people feel about their premiers is out. So exciting!

Follow along while I walk you through the results.
So, overall, premiers end this year of #COVID19 being seen to be doing their jobs well, with a few notable exceptions:
BUT -- it should also be noted, almost everyone's numbers have softened since their stratospheric peaks in the spring.
Let's start in BC, where nearly two-thirds approve of @jjhorgan. Down from September, but still tied for highest in the country. The early election call was a successful gamble for him.
Despite worsening COVID-19 situations in BC AND Quebec, it is affecting neither Horgan nor @francoislegault politically. The Quebec premier is also approved of by 64% of Qubecers.
In Ontario, it's a mixed story for @fordnation. His approval levels are still far above where they were 18 months ago, but far lower than the early days of "Premier Dad".
Though their bubble has burst, the Atlantic premiers @premierbhiggs @StephenMcNeil and @FureyAndrew continue be looked upon fondly by their respective citizens. (Because its small population precludes drawing discrete samples over multiple waves, data on PEI is not released)
Here's the Atlantic picture:
The situation's more serious - health wise and politically - for two premiers.
In Alberta, the only province in Canada without an indoor mask mandate, @jkenney's approval now hovers at 40% as a province finds itself divided between restrictions going too far, or not far enough.
The outlook's even worse for Manitoba Premier @BrianPallister who sees his worst approval rating ever, at 32%. Manitoba is currently under some of the strictest lockdown measures in Canada, limiting people to only leaving their homes for essentials.
Gosh I thought I was done. But I forgot @PremierScottMoe. That's funny. 'cuz the Sask premier was in the past often th HL of these reports, being the most popular in the country etc. Moe's sort of middle of pack now, but I'm sure will take 61% approval gladly. Sorry Scott!
