Our relationship with the animals has always been pivotal to the Jurassic franchise. JP was a story of our ignorance. The real terrors, the Velociraptors, were criminally abused animals. Kept in small confines, separated from Hammond who insisted on imprinting on every animal,- https://twitter.com/brycenator100/status/1333782600066985984
-it’s no wonder they were sociopathic killers. They ceased being animals as the park raised monsters.

The Lost World rebuked our ignorance. Sarah Harding doggedly insisted the T.rex was an animal with certain theorized behaviors, which proved academic. The Velociraptors were-
-terrors, but once again we had no understanding of the animals other then their territorial nature. Finally JP3 rebuked our ignorance of the Velociraptors specifically, using the Spinosaurus as an animal with a grudge, and Dr. Grant putting his ideas of Velociraptor behavior-
-to the test. All of these lessons culminate in Jurassic World. The hybrid we raise it in conditions like the Velociraptors of the first movie, but now we have Owen Grady paying attention to Velociraptor behavior. He imprinted, raised, worked with the Velociraptors to build a-
-precarious trust, one that could be lost with a misstep. This was while showing throng deference, respect, as the untamed animals they were. Trained, but far from domesticated.

Blue is the opposite of the JP Velociraptors, and while Fallen Kingdom attributes her natural -
-empathy to this, the change in animal treatment, how we moved passed ignorance, cannot be understated as a factor

And this is but one facet of how the depiction of animal behavior in the Jurassic franchise as realistically grown. It’s not flawlessly accomplished, but the-
-aspects utilized by Jurassic World over three, let’s face it, disjointed movies is stellar unto itself! I could go on about the evolution of behaviors of other, prominently dinosaurs too!

As a fan of dinosaurs as animals, GMO or otherwise, I love this franchise.
