My wife and managed to talk Adobe into allowing us to use the full Creative Cloud for $20/month. Its definitely cheaper than $53/month but Id like to stress keeping users tethered to their products is a large part of their operations model for solo artists. 1/
Again, Adobe not only KNEW people cracked their software with the Creative Suite days, but generally allowed it. This made solo artists the primary install-base so when we looked for jobs, we became pseudo-salesmen to our managers/studios. They WANT us STUCK on their software. 2/
This is why you see some artists having a hard time going from something more well-known like Adobe Animate to Toon Boom or TVPaint. Adobe products generally operate very similar to other products and have a lower learning curve. But $50/month FOREVER isnt a steal. 3/
If you have a hard time transitioning from Adobe, please question whether or not you NEED the full suite and can justify paying over $30/month for products you dont even use. Can you learn AND use Davinci Resolve for free while Adobe Premiere collects dust? 4/
Clip Studio Paint has already begun paving the way for artists to step away from the Adobe line and pay FAR FAR less than typical. This isnt 2006. Studios and freelance artists not only have options, but we also dont have to pay for them for an eternity. 5/
Im not saying completely DITCH Adobe if you have clients that rely on it or if you cant afford a full $700 payment on a different program. But I am saying decrease your RELIANCE on Adobe.

Be flexible. Learn to invest in yourself. Itll make you a better artist.
PS: Ive been told there's an update to the Adobe Alternatives list. Take a look!
