It‘s all in your head! A short thread on mental focus
There is a lot of ‘noise’ in the world that we live in, with an ever new shiny thing to distract our focus and cloud our concentration
Some ideas that are starting to work for me

1 — Make a list
Write down all of the thoughts that flow around in your mind, big or small
Then begin to narrow down and make a prioritised action list
@thedankoe has an excellent FREE resource that helps with this process https://gumroad.com/l/power-planner

2 — Cut down on stimulants
Have a morning coffee if you enjoy it, just don‘t use it as a substitute for sleep
Stimulants can‘t match the energy levels a decent nights sleep will give you across the day

3 — Eliminate distractions
The simple act of turning off my Twitter notifications has greatly increased my ability to stay on a task longer
Many people recommend ditching the app completely in favour of a desktop only approach (I’m not ready for this level yet! Ha)

4 — Keep practicing
Improving your mental focus is not an overnight fix, it takes time and commitment to strengthen this ability and avoid being distracted by new shiny things
Be patient with yourself and share your ‘wins’ as you reach goals quicker by sticking with the process
