On this Kashmir day I would like to present something that shows the importance of Kashmir for us and our civilization.

Although the very big part of world has been mmthe place of Hindu civilization, but the Kashmir is one of the most important place for us.

On one hand this place has been known for knowledge and mysteries, and the other hand it is also the abode of Shiva.

ततोSवोचवृषिं देवी स च देशस्तनुर्मम
यदा तदा पूत एव किं मया तत्र कारणम्

Neelmat purana is created by Mañcitsenacharya who Is considered to be lived in 600-700 AD.

Shloka 252 of Neelmat purana mentions kashmir by conversation between Sati and Shiva, Maa sati says Land of Kashmir is pious cause it is part of me.

Sanatanis who know Kashmir, and devotees of Shiva knows this place as "कौशुर का चिरंतन".

Why devi sati had to go in the form of River?

In this incident when Devi says that this desha is my body so it is Pious,

why I should go there?

Then Kashyap Rishi says

पिशाचै: सह सम्पर्कस्तत्र नित्यं यदा नृणाम्
तदा तेषां मतिः पापात् सततं नापसर्पति

People are getting in the contact of Pichasas that's why they are becoming Paapi. Then Shiva says her to go there as a river to spread Piousness.

ततस्तु सर्वदेशेषु जन: शुश्राव पार्थिव
सती देवी नदी भूत्वा कश्मीरेभ्यो विनिर्गतो

This clearly shows the integrity of Kashmir with Hindu civilization. Kashmir has suffered a lot. People who belonged to there were thrown out from their own land by the xlamic invaders.

Kashmir was always integral part of our culture and it will.

Our roots are there.
