Hearing stories and having lived through my former job, I have to wonder how certain people still have a job. Do you guys have stories like that?
Like, the former “software support director“ didn’t know that dragging a file to another drive would only save THAT version of the file. So many important files would have been outdated if I hadn’t intervened.
And then she apparently didn’t know, despite having received copies of service contracts, that equipment was being leased, and she threw all the equipment away, costing the company thousands of dollars to the vendor.
She would come to install equipment, do it incorrectly, and then get super mad if I called to ask for instructions on how to fix it. Or she’d send equipment, and then get super mad if I called to ask where the equipment was supposed to go
Come to think of it, she’d get super mad when you called her for anything, despite “support” being in her title.
I’ve always been a supporter of women in leadership roles and despise when strong women are called a “bitch” but this woman is not only completely incompetent but truly unlikeable
Once she got mad at me because she called my desk phone, didn’t leave a message, didn’t call or text my cell phone despite having my cell number, and I had the audacity to not call her back.
She had told me that certain equipment would be trashed before replacement so I could gift old equipment to employees, like monitors. Then forgot she said that so when bigwigs saw me “stealing” company property, it almost turned into a THING.
Once she “installed” credit card machines and then didn’t activate them so nobody could process credit card payments for hours. When I called her, she said it wasn’t her problem.
