For #AccessibleAdvent I'm aiming to post one thing every day that would make life more accessible for people with hand and upper limb disability or chronic pain

Thank you @GinnyAndT for the inspiration!
#AccessibleAdvent Day 1:

I'd love the option to complete all forms digitally.

Less painful than handwriting, allows use of voice dictation and screen readers, no access to printer or scanner needed
#AccessibleAdvent Day 2:

Drs appointments have got so much more accessible this year. Phone and video calls have saved me at least 5 trips to Drs including one 9-hour roundtrip.

Not having to travel has reduced disruption on my uni work and saved time and energy
#AccessibleAdvent Day 3:

As someone with wrist instability I wish handshakes weren't the norm. Handshakes are painful for me so it's weird that Drs including hand specialists still like to start appointments with one.

Also please don't judge people on their 'weak' handshakes!
#AccessibleAdvent Day 4:

Buying baubles secondhand was more accessible for me because someone had already tied the strings on.

No issues with hand numbness or dexterity = more energy for decorating!
#AccessibleAdvent Day 5:

I love click and collect for groceries now I can drive. It reduces pain from handling items and fighting the trolley all the way across an uneven carpark
#AccessibleAdvent Day 6:

I love contactless payment and am glad the minimum cap on card payments has gone.

Hand numbness and dexterity issues make handling coins a pain.
