Owners have arrived, #timing. Apparently his name is Felix
RSPCA man apparently has another one on the go which has been up a tree 7 days already.
Felix is not the brightest.
RSPCA is now gone and it's just Felix and the owners. He's a little bit more animated now there aren't any large machines around.
Owners have gone to get Mittens, another cat, to provide social encouragement.
The Kites are circling

POOR FELIX IS STILL IN THE TREE, WITH ONLY A PIGEON FOR COMPANY. THE SUN IS GRADUALLY SETTING AND IT IS GETTING COLDER.

One of the ladies bystanding said that he had been there since Saturday, but that does not match up with the owner having fed him last night

#HartleyWintney #FreeFelix status update, 1800GMT - after a long chat with the owner, and watching his behaviour, the strategy is to ignore him for a bit. If people fuss at him, he seems less motivated to escape of his own accord, and just yowls at them.

As far as I can tell he has moved from the red dot (around 8pm) to where he is now (10:20pm) indicated. I'm hoping that he didn't fall that distance.
HE'S ALIVE! Colour me impressed! I have just spoken to the owner and she tells me that #FreeFelix slunk into the house at about 0650 this morning, after a freezing night up the tree. Apparently he's fine and unhurt. #happyendings #hartleywintney
