Dismiss Stop the Steal at your peril. I'm convinced some will try to pivot this into a Tea Party-style movement. Here's a primer. THREAD
2. If you've been watching you know that:

-Attendance at rallies 📉
-Social media engagement is 📉
-Web traffic is 📉

As the crowds get smaller, the odd ducks are more visible. Like these guys. https://twitter.com/jsrailton/status/1332886875158274048
3. Stop the Steal organizers are all about the donations. Not so much on telling you where the $ goes.... but they are gathering something else too..
4. Everyone is building lists of supporters. Signups are going to be a nice distillation of folks receptive to the broad, broad tent of fringe& diehard folks showing up.
5. Who is organizing?
GROUP 1: @AmyKremer & @KylieJaneKremer were involved in the original STS FB page, run 2 websites and are organizing a bus tour sponsored by the My Pillow guy...
6. Kremers are GOP operatives...with a history with bus tours: the Tea Party Express raised a bunch of $ but was also a way for GOP operatives to get paid lavishly. https://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07/19/tea.party.express/index.html
7. Not a lot of folks showing up at the bus tour. Low engagement w/donation sites. Will it fizzle? Hard to say, but its going to be a great way to collect contact details.
8. GROUP 2: Led by @Ali Alexander (aka Ali Akbar) who has been busy traveling to rallies, texting, organizing events, and soliciting donations. He wants you to know that he hangs out with Roger Stone & Alex Jones.
9. He's definitely hustling to get folks to come out (& donate), but has beef with many well known conservative influencers. Some point to his criminal convictions (including fraud) as evidence that this is a grift. Traffic to his site is also way down. https://motherjones.com/politics/2020/11/stop-the-steal/
10. I expect these groups to focus increasingly on GA for obvious reasons. Candidates are clearly aware of them. Perdue's bus made a cameo at a GA rally.
11.Generally: These folks are not going away. Only now they have some great contact lists. I suspect they will pivot to keep the đź’µ flowing. Especially after Jan. But to what? Anti lockdown? Other conspiracies?
12. You are right, its artificial AF. But don't discount the effect of wall-to-wall coverage from @rightsidenews (also a bus sponsor!) @newsmax and @OANN as they jockey for market share.
13. And don't underestimate the effect of mind-bendingly-line-blurring @EpochTimes coverage which is still doing big pro-Trump ad buys.
14. Stop the Steal could easily be the beginning of a movement / narrative that will stick long past what ppl assume to be the USE BY date.

Other things clever folks assumed would go away b/c goofy views:

-Tea Party
-Trump 2016
-QAnon
-COVID Conspiracies..

Etc.
15. Ppl asking about Bannon. He promoted some rallies and... @SlickRockWeb spotted a video truck connected to Guo Wengui, Bannon's billionare biz partner. https://twitter.com/SlickRockWeb/status/1333524120127016960
16. Update: signs of tension between the different groups vying for control of the STS narrative. Shade cast on twitter, etc.
